1. GST e-way bill

A rule of GST (Goods & Services Tax) is changing from March 1. Businesses with an annual turnover above Rs 5 crore will not be able to generate e-way bills without including e-invoices for all their B2B transactions.

 

2. FASTag KYC

 

The deadline for updating KYC for Fastag users is ending on 29th February. NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) has made it mandatory for Fastag users to update their KYC details, otherwise banks will declare unupdated Fastag accounts invalid and deactivate or blacklist them.

3. SBI Credit Card

State Bank of India has said that it is changing the minimum day bill calculation process on its credit cards from March. This new rule will come into effect from March 15. The bank is giving this information to all its credit card customers through e-mail.


4. Paytm Payments Bank

The banking facilities of Paytm Payments Bank, the fintech company of Paytm, will be closed. The Central Reserve Bank had ordered that the bank should stop boarding new customers from February 29. Besides, instructions were given to stop all deposit and debit-credit facilities. Later the deadline was extended to March 15. 

5. Bank Holidays

There will also be bank holidays in the month of March. This month banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days. The first holiday is on 1st March. RBI has announced holidays on 1, 8, 22, 25, 26, 27 and 29 March. Apart from this, there will be bank holidays on five Sundays on 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 March and second and fourth Saturdays on 9 and 23 March.

6. LPG, CNG, PNG Price

Apart from this, since it is the first day of the month, revision in the prices of LPG, CNG and PNG may also be announced. Generally, petroleum companies revise gas prices on the first of the month.
