Singapore ranked 19th on the list and was by far the city most likely to be described as “safe,” with 93% of respondents defining it as such, Time Out wrote.
The city’s cocktail scene received the biggest shout-out from locals, with just over half naming cocktail bars as Singapore’s best nightlife offering.

Singapore’s nightlife scene includes a mix of independent collectives, established clubs and newer bar concepts. Groups such as Thugshop, Darker Than Wax, Ice Cream Sundays, GrooveTop and CultureSG organize events aimed at different audiences, including parties for people over 30, hip-hop dinner clubs and daytime-to-night events in green spaces, the mgazine recommended.
The city has also seen new bar concepts such as Milli, Bae’s Cocktail Club and Kossa, alongside a growing number of vinyl listening bars. Together, these developments reflect the range of nightlife options available in Singapore in 2026.
Singapore is known for its luxury cocktail bars and high-end clubs, but budget-conscious travelers can still enjoy the city’s nightlife at more affordable spots like low-key jazz bars and indie music venues.
To compile the rankings, the magazine asked city residents about factors including the affordability of nights out and whether their city feels lively, diverse and safe after dark.
Thailand’s Bangkok was voted the world’s best city for nightlife, followed by Germany’s Berlin.
