New Delhi: On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha was installed in homes and pandals across the country on 14 September. Devotees who worshiped Ganpati Bappa for one and a half days will immerse his idol today on 15th September. During this time, devotees bid farewell to Bappa by worshiping as per rituals. It is believed that bidding farewell to Lord Ganesha with respect brings happiness, peace and prosperity in the house.

One and a half day long Ganpati immersion today

According to the calendar, the one and a half day Ganpati immersion will be done on September 15. Devotees can immerse the Ganesh idol in the auspicious Choghadiya as per their convenience. A slight difference in time is possible according to the local calendar.

Auspicious time for immersion

The main Choghadiya Muhurtas for Ganpati immersion are as follows. Morning Muhurta will be from 12:26 to 1:58 pm. After this, the auspicious afternoon time is from 3:31 pm to 5:03 pm. Evening's benefit auspicious time will be from 8:03 to 9:31 pm.

Apart from this, Brahma Muhurta will be from 4:44 to 5:41 am in the morning, Abhijeet Muhurta from 12:02 to 12:51 pm and Vijay Muhurta from 2:29 to 3:18 pm. Twilight Muhurta is from 6:35 to 6:59 pm. Ravi Yoga will be from 6:17 am to 3:21 pm.

Do this work before immersion

Before immersion, take bath in the morning and worship Lord Ganesha. Offer them modak and laddu and pray for the happiness and peace of the family. After this, take the Ganesh idol respectfully to the immersion site.

Keep these rules in mind

Wear clean clothes and avoid black clothes at the time of immersion. Float the idol in water with reverence. During Ganesh Utsav, eat satvik food and avoid disputes with anyone. Keeping the environment in mind, it is also necessary to follow the place and rules prescribed by the local administration for immersion of the idol.
