New Delhi .Amitabh Bachchan often shares stories to his personal life on the stage of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. In a promo of the show, he along with his wife Jaya Bachchan told about some of his funny tricks to arriving on time and avoiding scolding in case of being late. It was also revealed from his talk that he adopts the method of preparation in advance to leave the house and reach any program on time.

On the stage of KBC 18, a female contestant asked Amitabh Bachchan whether he too ever had to wait for Jaya Bachchan. In response to this question, Amitabh told his special trick. He said that whenever both of them have to go somewhere, he tells Jaya the time one hour before the actual time.

Giving an example, Amitabh said that if the time of any wedding or event is six o'clock in the evening, then he tells Jaya the time is five o'clock. According to him, by doing this, Jaya starts getting ready between 3:30 to 4 o'clock and both of them reach the program on time. Amitabh described this method as a way for him to reach on time.

On another occasion, Amitabh Bachchan had also told that when there is a delay in returning home, he takes the help of the family group. He had said that he knows in advance what can happen if there is a delay, so as soon as he gets to know about the delay, he sends a message of 'Namaskar' to all the family members with folded hands in the group.

After this he tells the family that he has to go for shooting and will be late. Also he tells in advance not to wait for him for dinner. According to Amitabh, because of giving advance information he is saved from scolding.

However, if he could not inform Jaya Bachchan about the delay in time, the situation would have been different. Amitabh had told that in such a situation he is asked where he was and why he did not tell earlier. They are also asked whether it is time to return home. He also said that if he gets too late, Jaya herself goes to sleep after eating her food.

During KBC, such stories to the relationship between Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan have often come to the fore. Both of them met on the sets of the film 'Guddi' in 1971. After this, during the shooting of the film 'Ek Nazar' in 1972, Amitabh started getting attracted towards Jaya.

After the success of 'Zanjeer' in 1973, Amitabh had planned to go to London with friends. For this, when he sought permission from his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, he said that if he wanted to go together, he would have to get married first. After this, Amitabh and Jaya got married in a private ceremony on 3 June 1973 and left for London on the same day.

Amitabh and Jaya have two children, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan. He has three grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan.
