Hence, the ex-showroom price of Punch EV now starts at ₹9.79 lakh and goes up to ₹12.99 lakh. The price increase will be significant for customers looking for a compact electric SUV for city use.

30 kWh An increase in variants with batteries
The Smart and Smart+ variants of the Punch EV, which come with a 30 kWh battery, have seen a price hike of ₹10,000. Now the Smart 30 is priced at ₹9.79 lakh, while the Smart+ 30 is priced at ₹10.39 lakh. The Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ S variants, which come with a larger 40 kWh battery, have received a price hike of ₹20,000. Accordingly, the 40 kWh model is priced from ₹11.19 lakh to ₹12.99 lakh.
A company-wide rate hike since September
Tata Motors had announced to increase the price of cars in its passenger vehicle range by a maximum of ₹25,000 from September 2026. The same effect has been seen on Punch EV as well. Earlier, the Punch EV received a facelift this year with some changes to the exterior design and cabin. This SUV is smaller in size than the Nexon EV and is designed with urban customers in mind.

What it gets in range and performance?
The Punch EV with a 30 kWh battery produces 87 bhp of power and 154 Nm of torque, while the 40 kWh version produces 127 bhp of power and 154 Nm of torque. According to the company, the ARAI range of the 30 kWh model is 355 km, while the range of the 40 kWh model is 468 km. The larger battery makes the 40 kWh variant more attractive for longer journeys. But looking at the new prices, customers will have to choose the right option in terms of budget and range.
