Noida. The number of swine flu patients is increasing rapidly in Gautam Buddha Nagar Noida district of Uttar Pradesh. The Health Department has confirmed 37 new patients on Friday. With this the number of patients increased to 365. So far, about 280 patients have recovered.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Madan Mohan Mani Tripathi said that the health department is fully alert. The number of patients is more in urban areas as compared to rural areas.
The condition of any patient is not serious. Chief Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital, Dr. Ashok Kumar Jha said that a female patient is admitted in the ICU.
He is fine now after treatment. For this reason he will be discharged on Saturday. A suspected swine flu patient had reached the hospital for treatment, whose sample has been taken for testing.
A dengue patient was confirmed in Gautam Buddha Nagar district on Friday. With this the number of patients increased to 74. At the same time, three patients are suspected, based on the report of ELISA test of their blood samples, they will be considered as confirmed or unconfirmed patients of dengue.
District Malaria Officer Shruti Kirti Verma said that according to the Health Department, the new dengue patient is a resident of Kasna village. Mosquito repellent has been sprayed around the patient’s house.
Apart from this, samples of suspected patients have been taken. He said that dengue has been confirmed in the rapid test of three other patients. Their samples will be tested for ELISA. ELISA report is the only valid test for dengue.
