Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has once again created uneasiness in the opposition camp in the state. He claimed on Sunday that many leaders of BJP and JD(S) are ready to join Congress and are in talks about it. Before this statement of CM, former BJP MLA NL Narendra Babu had left the saffron party and joined Congress.

Chief Minister Shivakumar has made this claim at a time when he got Narendra Babu and many of his supporters included in the Congress at the state office in Bengaluru. DK Shivakumar said, 'Many leaders are in touch with me and our party leadership. We will include them and work together.

Congress leaders got the task

He said district ministers and party officials have been asked to identify leaders who believe in the ideology and top leadership of the Congress.

Resignation after being in BJP for 10 years

Narendra Babu, former MLA of Rajajinagar and Mahalakshmi Layout, was in BJP for almost 10 years. He resigned from BJP accusing that senior leaders did not give him due respect despite his work for the organization. Shivakumar said that the youth of the state are looking for hope. He claimed that there is no option other than Congress to save the country.

Regarding the Modi government at the Centre, he said, 'BJP is being given a chance for the last 13 years. I think enough is enough now.

DK made fun of Kumaraswamy

Chief Minister DK Shivakumar targeted Union Minister and former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. He alleged that Kumaraswamy is trying to weaken Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra and Leader of Opposition R Ashok to strengthen his position ahead of the 2028 assembly elections.

DK Shivakumar further said, 'Whatever the story of Ashok and Vijayendra, Kumaraswamy is seeing if he can achieve something for himself by bringing both of them down.' He claimed that that was why Kumaraswamy was giving statements and repeatedly threatening to drop bombs.
