Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been named the new brand ambassador of BMW India. The actor made his first appearance in the new role at the launch of the new BMW 7 Series range in New Delhi on September 11.
At the high-profile event, Ranveer unveiled BMW India’s latest 7 Series range, marking a collaboration between the Bollywood star and the German luxury automobile brand. His larger-than-life personality added to the glamour of the launch, which celebrated luxury, performance and innovation.
The new BMW 7 Series range will be available in India with both conventional fuel-powered and fully electric powertrain options. The lineup also includes the all-electric BMW i7 M70, which BMW describes as the most powerful 7 Series variant.
Bookings for the new 7 Series range are already open at BMW India dealerships, with deliveries scheduled to begin in October 2026.
The new BMW 7 Series and i7 feature refreshed styling and upgraded technology, including a redesigned front end, an illuminated kidney grille and an updated luxury-focused cabin. The i7 range also gets a larger 112.4 kWh battery, while the entry-level i7 50 now comes with all-wheel drive.
The new range has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 1.95 crore, while the high-performance BMW i7 M70 is priced at Rs 2.65 crore, ex-showroom.
The partnership adds BMW India to Ranveer Singh’s growing list of major automobile associations. In February 2025, he was appointed the first “Brand Superstar” of Škoda Auto India, while he has also been associated with Maruti Suzuki NEXA since 2014.
Ranveer is also known for his impressive private collection of luxury cars, which includes models such as the Ferrari 296 GTB, GMC Hummer EV 3X, Range Rover Autobiography and Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600.
On the work front, Ranveer is currently riding high on the success of the Dhurandhar franchise and has begun filming his next project, Pralay. Directed by Jai Mehta, the survival drama is set in a near-future Mumbai devastated by a deadly pandemic and a subsequent zombie outbreak. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles.
