On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the makers of Ramayana have unveiled the first song from the film, ‘Jai Jai Ram’.
The video of the song shows montages from the trailer, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram seen holding a bow and arrow, while Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita looks magnificent in a bridal outfit.
‘Jai Jai Ram’ combines the spiritual character of an aarti with a cinematic sound.
Before the first song, the makers had unveiled the poster of the film, which shows Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama placing a flower in Sita’s hair against a beautiful scenic backdrop. Soft, serene music plays in the background.
Dressed in traditional saffron attire, both Ranbir and Sai, as Ram and Sita, look beautiful. However, netizens weren’t impressed with the poster, with many of them saying that it looked AI-generated.
Although many loved the song, the video of the song failed to impress several viewers.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Shri Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Eight-time Academy Award-winning VFX studio DNEG.
Ramayana: Part One will arrive in cinemas this Diwali 2026.
