Prime Video has released the trailer of its upcoming original film 'Don't Be Shy'. Directed by Sriti Mukherjee, this youth romantic comedy tells the story of friendship, first love, heartbreak and the ups and downs of life.
The film is produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, while Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani are co-producers.
Aarushi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora and Ansh Duggal will be seen in lead roles in the film. Apart from these, Kunal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik are also in important roles.
The trailer depicts the story of Aarushi Bajaj's Shyamali 'Shay' Das, who wants to move her life forward as per a plan.
But suddenly changing circumstances complicate his entire world. Shay finds herself torn between her attraction to the popular and rich Mayank and her estranged childhood friend Dhruv.
Meanwhile, the mysterious and extremely confident Tara enters the college, which begins a new upheaval of relationships and emotions in Shay's life.
The story of the film progresses between the relationships of four youth, their friendship and changing emotions. Many unexpected twists and glimpses of new relationships are seen in the trailer.
According to director Sriti Mukherjee, this film is the story of the period when youth are moving towards adulthood, but many childhood feelings are still present within them. 'Don't Be Shy' will release on Prime Video on September 25, 2026 in Hindi and English.
