The newly elected presidents of various district cooperative banks of the state met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat on Friday. The Chief Minister congratulated all the newly elected presidents and wished them a successful tenure. The Chief Minister said that cooperatives are playing an important role in strengthening the rural economy of the state.

He expected that all the newly elected officials will work towards further strengthening the cooperative by giving top priority to transparency and public interest.
Those who met the Chief Minister included District Cooperative Bank Dehradun President Manjit Rawat, Chamoli President Gajendra Singh Rawat, District Cooperative Bank Garhwal (Kotdwar) President Pankaj Rawat, Tehri Garhwal President Subhash Chand Ramola and District Cooperative Bank Haridwar President Bijendra Singh Chaudhary. All of them have recently been elected unopposed to the post of President of the respective District Cooperative Banks. Cabinet ministers Khajan Das and Ram Singh Kaida were also present on this occasion.
