Pakistan Hindu Girls News: A court in Pakistan's Sindh province rejected the petition of two minor Hindu sisters to be sent back home. Instead of sending them to their families, the court has ordered to keep both of them in a safe house for two days. Meanwhile, a video is going viral on social media, in which both the sisters are seen crying outside the court and pleading to go home.

According to media reports, the matter is from Tando Allahyar district of Sindh. According to the report, the age of both the girls is 13 and 14 years and their names are said to be Sita and Rupi. Both belong to the Kutchi Koli Hindu community.

Both were forcibly married

The family alleges that the two sisters were first kidnapped and then forcibly converted. The family has also alleged that both of them were forcibly married to Amjad Solangi and Mansoor Solangi. However, these allegations of kidnapping, alleged forced religious conversion and marriage have not been officially confirmed yet.

In the video going viral on social media, both the girls are seen crying outside the court and pleading for help. In the video she expresses her desire to go home. Reaction of social workers of Pakistan has also come forward on this matter.

Social activist Sorath Sindhu claimed that both the girls had also expressed their desire to go back home before the court and demanded justice. Despite this, the court ordered to send him to a safe house for the time being.

Minimum legal age of marriage in Sindh is 18 years

The family says that in the official documents the age of both the minors is recorded as 13 and 14 years. In such a situation, questions are also being raised about his alleged marriage. The minimum legal age for marriage in Sindh is 18 years under the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act, 2013.

This is not the first case of alleged kidnapping and forced conversion of Hindu girls in Tando Allahyar. In July 2025, the families of Khenchi Kolhi, Lata Devi Meghwar and Meena Meghwar had filed separate FIRs at Sultanabad Police Station. The families had alleged that the girls were kidnapped and forcibly converted.

According to the Pakistan Human Rights Commission, the three girls later appeared before the Hyderabad Circuit Bench of the Sindh High Court. There he had claimed that he had converted and married of his own free will.

After this matter came to light, questions are being raised regarding the safety of the minority Hindu community in Pakistan and impartial investigation of cases to minor girls. Minority rights activists have demanded an independent investigation into the current matter.
