There is an important update for candidates preparing for admission to M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, and Pharm.D programs in Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has released the schedule for AP PGECET 2026 counseling. Candidates who have qualified in GATE, GPAT, and AP PGECET 2026 will be eligible to participate in the counseling process. Online registration and fee payment will commence on September 16, and candidates can apply until September 21. GATE and GPAT candidates will be given priority for admission. Subsequently, remaining seats will be allotted to AP PGECET candidates based on merit.

**Registration Begins on September 16**
Online registration and fee payment for AP PGECET 2026 counseling can be completed between September 16 and September 21, 2026. Candidates can apply via the official APSCHE website, cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. The counseling fee is ₹1,000 for OBC candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST candidates.

**Certificate Verification**
Online verification of certificates uploaded by candidates will take place from September 17 to September 22. Meanwhile, the process of entering college and course preferences—known as 'Web Options Entry'—will run from September 18 to September 21. Candidates will be able to modify their entered preferences on September 25.

**Priority for GATE and GPAT Candidates**
Candidates who have qualified in GATE and GPAT will be granted admission first, based on their scores. Seats remaining vacant after the allotment for these candidates will be filled according to the AP PGECET 2026 merit list. Therefore, it is crucial for candidates to register on time and enter their preferences correctly.

**What is the Eligibility Criteria?**
Candidates must be Indian citizens and hold a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by AICTE or UGC. General category candidates require a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant degree, while the minimum requirement for reserved category candidates is 45%. 85% of the total seats are reserved for local candidates from Andhra Pradesh, while 15% of the seats will be available to both local and non-local candidates.

When will classes begin?
After securing a seat, candidates must report to their allotted institute between September 30 and October 3 to complete the admission process. Classes for M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, and Pharm.D. will commence on September 30, 2026.
