However, there can be many other reasons for these symptoms, so looking at them should not confirm the blockage on your own.
1. Chest pain or pressure
If you feel heaviness, pressure, stiffness or pain in the chest, especially during hard work or climbing stairs, then it should not be ignored. This may be a sign of reduced blood supply to the heart.
2. Pain in legs while walking
Pain, cramps or heaviness in the legs after walking a short distance or climbing stairs and getting relief with rest may be to reduced blood flow in the arteries of the legs.
3. Early fatigue and shortness of breath
If you experience unusual fatigue, weakness or shortness of breath even while doing normal work, it is important to get it checked. Especially if this problem is continuously increasing.
4. Cold or numb hands and feet
If blood circulation is affected, coldness, tingling, numbness or weakness may be felt in the hands and feet. If this happens again and again, it is better to consult a doctor.
5. Dizziness or sudden weakness
If the blood flow to the brain is affected, serious symptoms like dizziness, difficulty in speaking, sudden weakness in any part of the face or body can appear. If such symptoms occur suddenly, medical help should be sought immediately.
When to be more cautious
High blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoking, obesity and lack of physical activity can increase the risk of artery problems. Therefore regular health checkups and a balanced lifestyle are important.
