Mathura: A massive fire suddenly broke out in a tent warehouse in Jaint police station area on Thursday. The fire was so huge that within no time, sky-high flames started rising from the warehouse and a plume of black smoke was visible in the distance. On information, several vehicles of police and fire department reached the spot and started trying to extinguish the fire.

Place of incident and severity of fire

The incident is being reported from a tent godown located just in front of Priyakant Zoo temple and near Krishna Funland in Jaint police station area. A large quantity of tents and other inflammable items were kept in the warehouse, due to which the fire quickly took a severe form. Seeing the flames and smoke, there was panic among the people nearby.

Local people immediately informed the police and fire department. As soon as the information was received, about five to six vehicles of the fire brigade along with the police reached the spot. Fire brigade personnel took charge and started the operation to control the fire. Till the time of writing the news, the work of extinguishing the fire was going on.

No loss of life, assessment of damage continues

It is a matter of relief that no casualty has been reported so far in the incident. However, the goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the tent in the warehouse are feared to be destroyed by burning. The cause of the fire has not been known yet. Police and administrative officials are also present on the spot. After the fire is completely controlled, the causes and damage of the accident will be assessed.
