Vadgam police have nabbed three persons who stole batteries from the store room of BSNL in a matter of days and sent them to jail.
A complaint was lodged by the watchman of BSNL’s store room at Vadgam police station that unknown persons broke the window grill of the store room and stole 57 batteries estimated to be worth Rs 11,400 and escaped. Based on the complaint, Vadgam police formed different teams and reached out to the thief on the basis of human source and technical surveillance and arrested three people who had stolen within a few days.
After arresting the three, the Vadgam police have started an investigation to find out whether these persons have committed the thefts in other places after being remanded by the court. Also the stolen goods have been seized from them.
