According to the information received, serious allegations have come to light regarding the syrup distributed by the Health Department to the flood victims in Mayapuram area of Barra. Family members allege that expired syrup was distributed in July 2026, after drinking which the condition of three children deteriorated.
It is being told that the children started vomiting and when their health deteriorated, the family took them to a private doctor. The family alleges that instead of taking serious action when they complained to the health department team, they were given Rs 100 for treatment. At the same time, the Health Department denied the allegations of distributing expired syrup and said that such syrup has not been supplied. There is a suspicion of some mischief in this, the investigation of which has also been started.
