According to ASP Law and Order Kotwali Patna Krishna Murari Prasad, the police had received information that a consignment of illegal liquor was about to reach around Patna Junction. During surveillance, the police stopped the girl and some youths traveling on a bike and searched them. The girl was taken into custody after more than half a dozen branded liquor bottles were found in the bag.

Claim of bringing liquor for greed of money

During police interrogation, the girl allegedly told that a young man known to her had lured her to give money. On his request, she went to Uttar Pradesh and from there brought liquor to Patna by train. It is claimed that he was to be paid for delivering the liquor consignment to Patna. The police are now investigating the role of that youth and to whom the liquor consignment was to be handed over next.

Girl is preparing for competitive exam

According to the police, the arrested girl is a resident of Patna and is preparing for competitive examinations. During interrogation, she claimed that she had never been involved in liquor smuggling before and had agreed to do this work for the first time due to greed for money. Police are gathering information about his contacts and possible networks to liquor smuggling.
