Strengthening Defense Ties and Upgrading Sri Lankan Air Defense

Under a direct grant from the Government of India, the two nations finalized an agreement for the technological upgrade of six L-70 air defense howitzers deployed by the Sri Lankan Air Force, significantly enhancing the security of critical installations across the island. Additionally, pacts were signed to foster closer institutional cooperation between the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the National Defence College (NDC).
