Bihar Board Toppers 2026: Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary felicitated the meritorious students who secured a place in the toppers' list for the 2026 Bihar Board Intermediate and Matric examinations, along with their parents. According to details shared by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), 168 students who made it to the toppers' list were honored. Additionally, the board will launch free JEE and NEET coaching programs across all 700 'Saraswati Vidya Niketan' model schools in the state. A 24x7 interactive learning platform will also be launched for students in classes 9 through 12.
According to *The Indian Express*, Intermediate toppers will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹2,500 under the 'Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medha Scholarship'. This scholarship will be awarded for three years to students pursuing general graduation courses, four years for those pursuing technical undergraduate degrees, and five years for those in integrated five-year programs. For students pursuing technical diplomas, the scholarship will continue until the completion of the course.
What was the prize money awarded?
Students securing ranks from first to tenth in the Bihar Board examinations were felicitated; there are 168 such students. Varying amounts of prize money were awarded based on the ranks achieved:
First place: ₹2 lakh.
Second place: ₹1.5 lakh (cash).
Third place: ₹1 lakh (cash).
Fourth to tenth place: ₹20,000 for Class 10 students and ₹30,000 for Class 12 students.
₹51,000 for laptops for everyone
In addition to the cash prize, the Deputy Chief Minister also provided ₹51,000 to the toppers for purchasing a laptop.
