On Tuesday, Barcelona and Brazil forward Raphinha was unexpectedly left disappointed by a Ballon d'Or snub.
When the 30-man shortlist for the men's award was revealed, his name was astonishingly missing from the list of contenders.
But on Wednesday, he produced the ideal reply to that surprising exclusion by reminding everyone of exactly what he can do.
He opened the scoring within the first three minutes against Feyenoord for Barcelona's first Champions League goal of the season, and he also left two defenders sliding across the rain-soaked Camp Nou turf with a brilliant piece of skill.
It was another sign of his outstanding start to the campaign.
