In a recent report, Graeme Bailey claimed that Manchester United are keeping a close watch on Al-Hilal striker Mohamed Kader Meite. It is understood that the Red Devils remain interested in recruiting the Ivory Coast talent, although they are facing competition from Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the race for his signature.
Meite has produced some eye-catching displays as the spearhead of Al-Hilal’s attack this season. The 18-year-old managed to score once in six appearances for the Saudi club last season across all competitions.
The gifted teenager is currently regarded as one of the finest young forwards in his homeland. Therefore, Manchester United would do well to try and complete a move for him next year.
His present contract at Al-Hilal runs until the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Red Devils to secure him for a modest fee either this January or at the conclusion of this campaign.

Meite is adept at creating a bit of room for himself to get shots away at goal. He also has the vision to fashion the occasional opportunity for his teammates and is a capable dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Ivory Coast wonderkid can also contribute with the odd goal for his side. Standing at 1.93, Meite is able to use his powerful frame to dominate opposition defenders in the air. However, only time will tell whether he can adjust to the high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils succeed in signing him in 2027.
One can expect Meite to raise the quality of Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick’s attack over the long term. He has the attributes to be a useful rotational option in the Mancunian club’s squad.
At 18, Meite appears to have a very bright future ahead of him as long as he continues to develop year after year. He is clearly a star in the making, so Manchester United would be wise to push hard to bring him to Old Trafford this January or at the end of this season.
