IMD issued rain alert in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, today on September 10, an alert has been issued for torrential rains and thunderstorms in 15 states of the country. This includes Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Punjab. In these, strong winds can blow at a speed of 65 Kmph.
How will the weather be in North-West and Central India?
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of isolated rain in Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in Uttarakhand, while there is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in Eastern Uttar Pradesh also.
Apart from this, there is a possibility of isolated or sporadic rain in East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. There is a possibility of isolated heavy or widespread rainfall in Chhattisgarh.

There will be thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at isolated places in West Bengal and Odisha in the Ganga plains.
There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar in the Ganga plains. Odisha may receive isolated heavy rains as well as very heavy (extreme) rainfall at isolated places. Hot and humid weather conditions are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
