Flipkart Minutes' separate app launched: Now essential things will reach home in just 10 minutes, tough competition from Blinkit and Zepto

Technology Desk: Competition in the quick-commerce market in India is continuously increasing. Meanwhile, Flipkart has launched a separate app for its quick-commerce service Flipkart Minutes. Through this app, it is claimed to deliver groceries, everyday items, electronics and other essential items to customers in about 10 minutes.

Now available for Android users

The new Flipkart Minutes app is currently available on Google Play Store for Android devices. The download size of the app is around 20MB. Customers can order many types of goods on this app. These include fruits and vegetables, groceries, dairy and breakfast items, snacks, beverages, household cleaning supplies, gifts, electronics and gadgets.

Will be useful even in last minute shopping

Flipkart Minutes can also be used especially for last-minute shopping. Customers will also be able to order items like flowers, chocolates, headphones, Bluetooth earphones, smartwatches and LED lights. According to the company, offers and discounts will also be available on many products.

Earlier minutes were available in Flipkart app

Till now, Flipkart Minutes was available as a separate section within the main Flipkart app. Now the company has launched it as a standalone app.

The company is already rapidly expanding its quick-commerce service. According to Flipkart, Minutes has reached more than 130 cities and 8,000 pin codes. The company has more than 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers and services covering more than 250 product categories.

Blinkit and Zepto will compete

After launching a separate app, Flipkart Minutes will now compete directly with quick-commerce companies like Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart. Through a separate app, Flipkart is trying to increase its reach and number of customers in this segment.
