20 nominated members appointed in Dehradun Municipal Corporation

Dehradun. Uttarakhand government has appointed 20 nominated members in Dehradun Municipal Corporation. The long-awaited list of nominated members came out with the notification issued on Tuesday. In exercise of the powers conferred by the Governor in clause ‘B’ of sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959, these members have been nominated as nominated members in the Municipal Corporation Dehradun.

The notification issued by Urban Development Section-03 has the signature of Deputy Secretary Pradeep Kumar Shukla. With the release of the notification, the process of appointment of 20 nominated members in the Municipal Corporation was formally completed. The list released by the government includes Vijay Bhatt, Avnish Kothari, Mangal Singh Rathore, Sushma Joshi, Captain Sukh Bahadur Gurung, Kamal Thapa, Pramila Devi, Abhishek Bohra, Devendra Pal Singh Monty, Ajay Pal, Ramesh Chandra Kala, Rukmani Panwar, Shekhar Nautiyal, Vinay Kukshal, Abhishek Parmar, Jagdish Prasad Semwal, Jeevan Rawat, Surendra Mittal, K. Lakshmi and Khemraj Uniyal have been included.

According to the notification, Vijay Bhatt is a resident of Ward No. 84, Banjarawala, while Kamal Thapa belongs to Jakhan, Rajpur Road area. People from different areas of Dehradun have been represented among the nominated members.

The list includes Sushma Joshi, Pramila Devi, Rukmani Panwar and K. Lakshmi are included as female members. At the same time, people associated with social and various fields including Captain Sukh Bahadur Gurung have also been made nominated members in the Municipal Corporation. After the appointment of nominated members in the Municipal Corporation, now the role of these members is being considered important in the activities of the Municipal Corporation.
