MS Dhoni: Madras High Court has issued a big order in the defamation case to former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, popularly known as Captain Cool. Court has booked former IPS G. in IPL 2013 spot fixing case. The petition of Sampat Kumar has been accepted, in which he had demanded to record the testimony of former CSK captain MS Dhoni. Taking a big decision, the court has clearly said that Dhoni will not be given any kind of VIP treatment for his testimony. Also, recording of his statement will be done in the court premises or any government building.

Court accepted the demand of former IPS

Actually former IPS G. Sampath Kumar had appealed to the Madras High Court to record the statement of former CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He said that Dhoni is a celebrity cricketer and hence he should not get any special or VIP treatment. Sampat Kumar had demanded from the court that the video recording of Dhoni’s testimony should be done in the court premises or any government building only, which was accepted by the court.

Court accepted three demands of Sampat Kumar

Let us tell you, in the defamation case of Rs 100 crore of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the court has accepted all the three demands of Sampat Kumar. His first demand was that a judicial officer should be appointed to monitor the process of recording Dhoni’s statement. In his second demand, he said that video recording should be done during the process of recording the statements. Also, the unedited copy of the video should be handed over to him and the judicial officer appointed by the court. The third demand is that Dhoni’s statement should be made in the court premises or any government building, and not in any five star luxury hotel.

Dhoni had filed a defamation case in 2014

Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the year 2014, former IPS G. A defamation case was filed against Sampat Kumar, Zee Media, Tezzbuzz Network and Sudhir Chaudhary, editor and business head of Zee News. In which he had alleged that his name was dragged into the IPL 2013 betting scam, for which the Indian cricketer had demanded a compensation of Rs 100 crore.
