UP News: To strengthen inclusive education in Uttar Pradesh, the initiative to sensitize teachers towards the different needs of children has intensified. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led by PRASHAST 2.0 under the campaign so far 2,03,823 teachers Have onboarded the platform and are watching the sensitization video.
PRASHAST is a school-based disability screening tool that aims to help in the early identification of children who may need further assessment and necessary support. Along with this, teacher sensitization module is also included.
Highest participation of teachers in Rampur
According to data, in Rampur 44.38 percent Teachers' participation has been recorded. After this, 39.27 percent teachers in Jhansi, 31.95 percent in Pilibhit, 28.42 percent in Shahjahanpur and 24.74 percent in Ballia are connected to PRASHAST 2.0. Good participation of teachers has also been recorded in Fatehpur, Mathura, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly and Basti.
The government aims to prepare teachers to understand the needs and potential challenges of children before they begin screening them. This is expected to help create a more supportive and sensitive environment for children with disabilities in schools.
Sensitization will be done through 10 videos of 40 minutes each.
On PRASHAST app and portal approx Total 10 sensitization videos of 40 minutes duration are available. Through these videos, teachers are being prepared to understand the diverse needs of children and carry out the screening process in a sensitive manner.
This process is for all the boards of the state. Government, council, private aided and private unaided schools It is being implemented by involving teachers. Teacher-oriented tutorials and login process are also available on the official platform of PRASHAST.
Instructions to connect all teachers
From the state level, Divisional Assistant Director of Education (Basic) and District Basic Education Officers have been instructed to ensure necessary action to ensure that the concerned teachers watch the sensitization video. Emphasis is being laid on connecting private schools with this process along with government and council schools.
Children's cooperation will be better with teacher's understanding
The objective of inclusive education is to provide appropriate educational support to each child as per his/her needs. In PRASHAST 2.0, work is being done in this direction by linking the sensitivity of the teacher with the screening process. After sensitization, teachers will be able to better understand the specific needs of children and will be more capable of providing necessary support to them.
Director General of School Education, Uttar Pradesh Monica Rani Said that PRASHAST 2.0 is giving teachers an opportunity to understand the diverse needs of children and develop a sensitive approach towards them.
