Akshay Kumar is set to portray a villain in the upcoming crime thriller film “Havaan.” This marks a significant shift in his career, as he is known primarily for his roles as an action hero and comedic lead. However, Kumar has previously taken on negative roles that have surprised fans. Throughout his extensive career, Kumar has established himself as a leading action and comedy star. Yet, he has also delved into darker characters in several films. In “Aflatoon” (1997), he played a dual role as Raja, a petty thief, and Rocky, a ruthless killer who blackmails Raja, creating chaos in his life. In “Khiladi 420” (2000), Kumar showcased his range with another double role. He portrayed Dev Kumar Malhotra, a cunning conman posing as a successful businessman, and Anand Kumar Malhotra, who ultimately seeks to protect his brother’s unsuspecting wife from Dev’s sinister plans. His role in “Ajnabi” (2001) as Vikram Bajaj earned him the Filmfare Best Villain Award, highlighting his ability to captivate audiences with his negative portrayals. In the sequel “Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara” (2013), he played Shoaib Khan, an underworld don who rises to power through treachery.
