Every year Ganesh Mahotsav starts from Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This year there is confusion among people regarding 14th or 15th September. According to the calendar, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will start from 14 September 2026, while Ganesh Visarjan will be done on 25 September.

When will Ganesh Chaturthi start?

According to the Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi will start at 7:06 am on September 14 and end at 7:44 am on September 15. According to Udaya Tithi, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 14 September. On this day, devotees can install the idol of Lord Ganesha in their homes. Ganesh Mahotsav will conclude with Ganpati Visarjan on Friday, September 25, on Anant Chaturdashi.

Auspicious time for Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 puja

This time the auspicious time for Ganpati Puja will be from 11:02 am to 1:31 pm. During this time, installing the idol of Lord Ganesha and worshiping him is considered auspicious.

This time there is a coincidence of Ravi Yoga on Ganesh Chaturthi. According to religious beliefs, worshiping Ganapati in such auspicious yoga brings positive energy and auspicious results. Many other planetary positions will also be created during Ganesh Mahotsav.
