The investigation into the Satya Niketan building collapse that killed six people has intensified, with police detaining building owner Hariram Bansal in Bhiwadi.
Officials confirmed that questioning is currently underway to establish accountability for the tragedy.
The multi‑storey structure, which housed a student PG accommodation, collapsed on Sunday afternoon, leaving several trapped under debris. At least five people were rescued, while major search and rescue operations continued through the night.
Authorities have registered a case against the owner and others, as teams from the Delhi Police, Fire Service, NDRF, and DDMA work to clear rubble and locate survivors. The detention of Bansal marks the first major breakthrough in the probe, as investigators seek to determine whether negligence or structural lapses led to the collapse.
