Naini, Prayagraj. Prayagraj Police has come into action after the massive explosion in an illegal firecracker factory in Kaushambi district. Police have started intensive checking campaign across the district. Under this campaign, Naini Inspector Brij Kishore Gautam along with a large force raided an illegal firecracker factory running in a rented house in Chakdodi area of ​​Naini police station area. During the raid, ready and semi-finished firecrackers worth about Rs 5 lakh, huge quantity of gunpowder and material for making firecrackers were recovered from the spot.

On Monday, Naini Inspector Brij Kishore Gautam received information at 6 pm that illegal firecracker making was going on in a rented house amidst dense population in Chakdodi. On receiving the information, Naini Inspector along with the fire brigade team raided. Seeing the police, people working in the factory started running away, but two persons were caught from the spot. During the search, 30 sacks of firecrackers, loose gunpowder, potash, sulfur and firecracker making molds were found in the rooms. During the raid, the police recovered 30 sacks of explosive material from two rooms.

Big firecrackers ranging from 3 inches to 9 inches were found in the sack. According to the accused, the house was taken on rent only 10 days ago. Only the work of making firecrackers was done in the room. Information was received about the firecracker factory caught in Naini that big preparations were being made for Diwali. Construction work was going on in two rooms with a large quantity of explosive material. On the information of which the police raided and exposed the big factory before Diwali.

According to the police, an attempt has been made to prevent a major incident through this raid. The house in which the factory was running is also in a dilapidated condition. The huge quantity of explosives recovered could have caused an explosion at any time and the dilapidated house could also have collapsed. Gunpowder was being ground and dried in the rented house itself, which was extremely dangerous. Even a small spark could have caused a big accident like Kaushambi here too.

Told that there was a preparation to sell the firecrackers prepared here at high prices in the markets of Naini, Karchana and Kaushambi on Diwali. A case has been registered against the factory operator and the landlord under Explosives Act 1908 and Section 286 of the IPC. Landlord is absconding, search is on for him

Police say that this campaign against illegal firecracker traders will continue before the festivals.
