More than 200 runners including employees, customers, partners, business associations, and local stakeholders gathered at Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park in Bac Ninh Province on Sunday morning for Run for Children 2026.
For every runner completing the 4-km run, Western Pacific Group contributes VND2 million (US$76) to its “Empowering the Future” scholarship program. Through this initiative, 200 scholarships were awarded to local students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have demonstrated perseverance and strong academic performance. Participation in the run was free.

Turning an anniversary into community action
Run for Children took place one day before Western Pacific Group’s 20th anniversary on Sept. 7. Established in 2006, the company has spent the past two decades developing its Logistics Industrial Cluster (LIC) ecosystem.
The choice of scholarships shifts the anniversary’s focus toward the next generation.
The inaugural event welcomed a broad group of participants, symbolizing a meeting point between groups that have been connected to WPG during different stages of its development.
Run For Children 2026 took place inside Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park, one of the key projects in Western Pacific Group’s ecosystem. Along the 4-km run, runners passed internal roads, industrial landscapes and existing infrastructure facilities, linking the group’s 20-year development journey with its commitment to accompanying local communities and sharing social responsibility.

From 200 runners to 200 scholarships
The format of Run for Children was designed around a direct connection between participation and contribution.
Through its “Empowering the Future” scholarship program, Western Pacific Group awarded 200 scholarships to students in the local community. The initiative also received support from many of the company’s customers and partners, who joined hands with the company to contribute to this meaningful program.
It reflects a connection between businesses and the communities surrounding industrial developments.
For 20 years, WPG’s journey has largely been measured through business development and the expansion of its industrial park and logistics ecosystem. On Sept. 6, that journey was represented by hundreds of people moving together, with each finisher contributing to opportunities for children in the community.

Run for Children 2026 is the first edition, but Western Pacific Group expects the initiative to provide a foundation for community activities that can continue in the years ahead.
