Volcano: Volcano erupts, 301 flights put on hold!

Volcano : There was a sudden powerful explosion in the famous Anak Krakatoa volcano in Indonesia. After this explosion, huge amount of ash and smoke clouds spread in the sky. According to officials, two large ash clouds emanating from the volcano reached a height of about 20 thousand to 50 thousand feet. The ash spread over several kilometers with the wind, causing serious impact on the surrounding areas as well as on air services. Six major airports, including the capital Jakarta, were temporarily closed due to security reasons.

301 flights affected, passengers worried

A total of 301 flight services were affected due to the volcanic eruption, including 58 international flights. Volcanic ash can pose a serious threat if it enters aircraft engines. For this reason, the authorities temporarily stopped many flights keeping in mind the safety of the passengers. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of fear among the local people also.

The tragedy of 2018 increased concern (Volcano)

The name of Anak Krakatoa is also linked to a major tragedy of 2018. At that time, more than 430 people lost their lives in the powerful tsunami that occurred in the sea after the volcanic eruption. In view of this old accident, this time the administration has advised the people living in coastal areas to be cautious. The activities of the volcano are being continuously monitored under the supervision of officials.
