Kapurthala: The son whose death was mourned by the family even performed his last rites, was found alive in jail after 15 days. This incident that came to light in Kapurthala, Punjab shocked the family. In a house where there was mourning, a phone call from jail suddenly brought happiness back.
According to the information received, Ravi Kumar had left home on August 5, but did not return after that. When there was no trace of him for a long time, his father and brother started searching for him at their own level. Despite searching at many places, no trace of Ravi was found. Finally, the family reached Kapurthala City police station on August 11 and lodged a missing report. After this the police also started searching for him.
There was a stir after finding a burnt dead body
Meanwhile, the police informed the family that the burnt body of a young man had been recovered. The police had also shown photographs of the dead body to the family. After some time, family members and others identified the body as that of Ravi Kumar on the basis of photographs and available information. The news of the son's death devastated the family. Considering Ravi dead, they cremated him on 13 August. At that time the family had no idea that their son was alive.
A surprising call came on 2nd September.
After about 15 days, on September 2, there was a sudden big twist in the story. A call reached the family from the Central Jail of Kapurthala. The jail employee told that a person named Ravi Kumar is lodged in the jail. Hearing this, the ground slipped beneath the feet of the family. They could not believe how the person whose last rites they had performed could be alive.
When I reached jail I saw that Ravi was alive.
It was told that Ravi was arrested by Jalandhar Police about a month ago in a case to loitering. After this he was sent to Kapurthala Central Jail. The next day the family reached the jail and their happiness knew no bounds after seeing Ravi alive. Now many questions have arisen regarding how the burnt body was identified and at what level such a big mistake was made in this entire matter.
