Tezzbuzz Desk- The blue colored Aparajita flower not only enhances the beauty of the garden, but it is also used in traditional home skin care. The toner made from it can help in making the face feel fresh and clean.
You must have often seen the blue flower of Aparajita in the gardens of homes or in the surrounding greenery. It is also called butterfly pea flower. This beautiful looking flower is known for many household uses and antioxidant compounds are found in it. When the face starts looking tired and lifeless due to sunlight, heat and pollution, then some people use home toner prepared from Aparajita. It is also quite easy to make at home and requires only flowers, water and a clean spray bottle. However, it is important to note that home toner is not a cure for any skin disease. If there are persistent pimples, itching, redness, burning sensation or other problems on the face, then consult a dermatologist.
Why is Aparajita used for skin?
Antioxidant properties are found in Aparajita flowers. Antioxidants play a role in protecting the skin from damage caused by free radicals. For this reason it is used in some home skin care routines. Water prepared from Aparajita can help in making the skin feel cool and fresh. However, there is limited scientific evidence available regarding its skin benefits, so it should not be considered a substitute for any medical treatment.
How to prepare Aparajita face toner at home
To make this homemade toner you will need only three things.
Material:
- Aparajita flowers – 5
- Water – 1 cup
- Clear spray bottle – 1
easy way to make
- First of all, wash the Aparajita flowers with clean water, so that the dust and soil on them is removed.
- Now heat a cup of water in a small pan. When the water becomes hot, add Aparajita flowers to it and let it cook on low flame for a few minutes.
- Gradually the color of the water will start turning blue. After this, turn off the gas and let the mixture cool completely.
- After it cools down, filter the water thoroughly and fill it in a clean spray bottle. Your homemade Aparajita toner is ready to use.
How to apply on face?
First of all, clean your face with a mild face wash. After this, toner can be lightly sprayed on the face. Avoid applying it around the eyes. After applying toner, use light moisturizer according to the skin. If you are using it during day time then it is also important to apply sunscreen.
Those with sensitive skin should do patch test first.
It is not necessary that every home remedy is suitable for every person's skin. Especially if your skin is sensitive, before applying the toner on the entire face, do a patch test by applying a small amount on the back of the hand or ear. If problems like redness, itching, burning or swelling are seen then do not use it on the face.
Do not keep homemade toner for long
This toner of Aparajita is prepared from water and no preservative is added to it. Therefore, avoid making it in large quantities and storing it for a long time. Make toner in small quantities, place in a clean bottle and store in the refrigerator. If it starts to smell or shows unusual changes in color and texture, do not use it. Keep in mind that Aparajita Face Toner is only a home skin care remedy. It is safer to consult a doctor or dermatologist for persistent acne, infection, itching, irritation or any other skin problem.
