Mohammed Shami: The Duleep Trophy final has begun in Chennai between East Zone and South Zone. East Zone has made a strong start by batting first. Bengal Cricket Association honored

Shami was given a special honor by the Cricket Association of Bengal for this achievement. A ceremony was held a day before the final. He was presented with a cricket ball autographed by Bengal President Sourav Ganguly, a special jersey with the number 100, and a silver plate. A cake was also cut.

Ishan Kishan is captaining East Zone. He was also present at Mohammed Shami’s felicitation ceremony. Shami has been away from the Indian team for about a year and a half. He last played for India in the Champions Trophy 2025. Since then, he has been consistently overlooked. Before the match, Ishan expressed his views on Shami. He said, “Mohammed Shami is one of the best players. He has been a legend of the game. His performance has always been outstanding. He has been taking wickets. Shami has been putting in all his energy. He has also performed very well for the Indian cricket team. It’s difficult to say anything about age. I believe age is just a number. If he’s working hard, age doesn’t matter.”
