New Delhi: AI has now become a part of our everyday life. People are using AI tools for many small and big tasks ranging from studies, office work. Among these, ChatGPT is included in the most used platforms. Now a change is coming to light regarding its free version, which can change the experience of the users.
Till now, people using free ChatGPT did not see any kind of advertisement along with the answers. But this may change in the future. While viewing the answer to a question in the free version, a sponsored ad may be visible below it. This means that if you ask a question to a product or service, an advertisement from a company to it may appear below ChatGPT's answer. Apart from subscription, OpenAI is also preparing a way to earn money through advertising.
Will Ad come with every question?
It is not necessary that advertisements appear below the answer to every question asked by a free user. Which user will see the ad and what type of ad will be seen will depend on the system and advertising model of the platform. For example, if you asked for information about a product, a sponsored ad to it may appear below the answer. If the user likes it, he can go to the advertisement to get more information about the product or buy it.
How will companies run advertisements?
ChatGPT can become a new way for companies to deliver their advertisements to potential customers. It has been claimed in the reports that the starting price of advertisement can be around Rs 725 per day. However, price, availability and other terms are subject to change.
Will your personal chats be safe?
The biggest question in the minds of users regarding ads is to their privacy. According to OpenAI, companies serving ads cannot read users' private ChatGPT conversations. This means that what you asked ChatGPT, what information you shared or what topic you discussed, this information will not be made directly available to advertisers. Some limited information may be used to deliver ads to the right users, but individual chats will not be shared with advertisers.
