Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday justified the student protests in Maharashtra. Along with this, Rahul alleged that the BJP government has ruined the credibility of the system by paper leaks, stalled recruitments, unbearable cost of education, inhuman conditions in hostels, poisonous food, fraud in DBT and now by capturing a constitutional body like MPSC. He claimed that students are fed up with the BJP governments at the Center and the states. The Congress leader wrote in X Post, 'Thousands of students in Maharashtra are on the streets, protesting peacefully – the reason for this is not just an examination or recruitment, but the trust in the entire system has been broken.'

Rahul further wrote, 'Whether it is of the Center or the State, every student is troubled by the BJP government. Paper leaks, stalled recruitments, unbearable cost of education, inhuman conditions in hostels, poisonous food, fraud in DBT… …and now by capturing a constitutional institution like MPSC, its credibility has been ruined. Supporting the demands of the students, he wrote, 'Every demand of the students is justified for their successful future. The government should listen to their voice and take immediate action – otherwise the echo of these students will keep increasing until they get justice.

Let us tell you that this comment of Rahul has come amid the ongoing investigation of Mumbai Police into the allegations of leaking of question paper of MPSC Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Inspector exam. MPSC had conducted the offline examination for the posts of Drug Inspector on March 22. After this, the candidates had expressed fear of paper leak, but alleged that no action was taken on their complaints. Later the recruitment process was completed and the merit list of 488 candidates was released.

MPSC has canceled the recruitment process for Drug Inspector Group-B posts under the Food and Drug Administration Department, after an initial investigation into alleged irregularities in the screening examination. The commission said police investigation has preliminary revealed that a candidate had received the question paper before the examination and had benefited from it.

The Commission also said that it considered the seriousness of these things before taking the decision to cancel the recruitment process. Police have arrested six people, including three MPSC officials, in connection with the alleged question paper leak of the Drug Inspector Group-B screening exam (which has now been cancelled).
