Union Minister Jitendra Singh felicitated Indian school students after Team India secured a record nine medals, including four gold, at IESO 2026 in Turin. India delivered its best-ever performance at the International Earth Science Olympiad.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Earth Sciences, Dr Jitendra Singh, felicitated and interacted with the Indian school students who delivered the country’s best-ever performance at the 19th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) 2026, securing nine medals, including four gold.
The special appreciation and motivation meeting was held at Prithvi Bhawan, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, where the minister congratulated the young achievers, their parents and schools for bringing international recognition to India.
India records Best-Ever IESO Performance
The Indian contingent competed against students from 39 countries at the 19th IESO, held in Turin, Italy, from August 20 to 27, 2026.
