Genoa head coach Daniele De Rossi spoke after Genoa's match against Como.
Genoa were beaten 4-1 at home by Como, making it three defeats in three matches under Daniele De Rossi. Speaking to DAZN after the game, the Rossoblu manager said he had been struck by the quality shown by Cesc Fabregas's team.
De Rossi on what impressed him
"Against a team like that, you have to be perfect for 90 minutes. They are the strongest team I have seen, they really impressed me. We did things the right way, we stayed in the match, but we never had the feeling that we could get back into it. The third goal? I would like to see it again. It has never happened to me before that I was hoping we would not let in another goal."
On the strength of the squad
"Sometimes you get angry with the referee, other times with yourself, and sometimes the opposition are simply better than you. These players are on another level. I stand by my group: they have what it takes to get the points we need. At times the fixture list works against you, but I start again with these lads. The fans understand us, they are here inside this stadium, and that will be crucial in getting the points I am convinced we will get. They have been very different matches: against Napoli I was proud, against Lazio I was angry about the first half, and today it needs to be analysed. I feel a little powerless when it comes to Como."
