Weather conditions in India, 5 September 2026:

Monsoon is active in the first week of this September, causing heavy rains in various parts of the country. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain will continue in many states of North India on September 5. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. The weather is also expected to be active in Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan. According to IMD, rain activities continue in Central India also.

Delhi-NCR weather

The weather will be pleasant in Delhi-NCR on September 5 and rainy activities may be seen. IMD has issued a rain alert for Delhi. It will be cloudy over various parts of the capital, and there are chances of rain showers. According to IMD, there is an alert of heavy rain on September 6 also. Road traffic may be affected in Delhi and surrounding areas due to rain.

Rain alert in Haryana

The weather will be active in Haryana on September 5. IMD has warned of heavy rain for the state. According to Chandigarh Meteorological Centre, heavy rains may continue in Haryana on September 5 and 6. The effect of weather can be seen in different districts of the state.

Rainfall in Punjab

There is a possibility of rain continuing in Punjab also on September 5. IMD has issued a warning of heavy rain for the state. According to Meteorological Center Chandigarh, there is a possibility of rain in many districts of Punjab.


Rain alert in Himachal Pradesh

There is a possibility of bad weather in Himachal Pradesh also on September 5. Meteorological Center Shimla has warned of heavy rain for the entire state. However, relief is expected from September 6.

Rain in other states

The weather will remain active in other parts of North India also. IMD has predicted heavy rain along with thunderstorm and lightning in Uttarakhand. There is an alert of heavy rain in western parts of Uttar Pradesh also.

Weather of Northeast and South India

Rain may continue at many places in Northeast India also. Rain and thunderstorm activities may be seen in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
