Amravati, September 4 (IANS). Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazir and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday congratulated ISRO scientists on the successful launch of GSLV-F17.
The Governor congratulated the ISRO scientists. They on Friday achieved a major feat by successfully launching their heaviest Earth Observation Satellite, EOS-05, aboard the GSLV-F17 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota and placing it in geosynchronous orbit.
The Governor said that this mission is like India getting its first dedicated imaging satellite, which is very important for continuous surveillance and national security. With this, another achievement has been added to the achievements of ISRO.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu called it a proud moment for India's space travel.
In a post on social media platform 'X', the Chief Minister said, “Congratulations to ISRO for the successful launch of GSLV-F17 and successful placement of EOS-05 into its intended orbit. This fantastic achievement shows the strength of India's space capabilities and the dedication of our scientists and engineers. My best wishes to the entire ISRO team for many more achievements in the future.”
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan described the launch as a new milestone in India's space journey from Earth to the stars.
Science and Technology Minister Pawan Kalyan said, “India is constantly exploring new possibilities. The success of the GSLV-F17 mission and the placement of EOS-05 in its designated sub-geosynchronous transfer orbit is another great achievement for ISRO. EOS-05 is India's first imaging satellite from a geosynchronous orbit, strengthening our Earth observation capabilities. Thank you to ISRO's brilliant scientists, engineers, technicians and everyone involved in this historic mission. Hearty congratulations to.”
Pawan Kalyan said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's space program is reaching new heights, inspiring our youth and strengthening our position among the leading space nations of the world.
Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also congratulated ISRO on the successful launch of GSLV-F17 carrying EOS-05 from Sriharikota. He said, “I commend the scientists and engineers whose dedication and precision made this achievement possible. This mission strengthens weather monitoring, disaster management and national development, making India very proud of its growing space capabilities and progress.”
