Recently, during a conversation in a podcast, Vishal Chaturvedi attributed the success of the film to the audience and positive word of mouth. He said that the film did not get the support from the industry that was expected before its release.

According to Chaturvedi, during the release of the film, exhibitors gave priority to big films and the number of screens and shows of 'Hanuman Ansh' kept decreasing. He claimed that the film shows reduced from 250 to just 25 were left.

The director also revealed that multiplex chains like PVR and Cinepolis were initially hesitant to screen the film, especially in prime location theatres.

The audience changed the fate of the film

Vishal Chaturvedi said that despite less screens and limited shows, the audience response took over the film. People who watched the film praised it on social media and through positive word of mouth, the film reached other audiences as well.

Gradually its benefits started appearing in the box office collection and the film started performing better than expected.

'Many people called after being successful'

When the director was asked whether Bollywood had supported him before the release of the film, he answered the question by saying that after the film did well, many people called him and congratulated him.

He said that he did not want to take the names of those people. Chaturvedi said that Madhur Bhandarkar was also among those who congratulated him, although he did not ask for any kind of support from him.

The director said that he himself had sought help from some other people, but he did not get help. Therefore, after the success of the film, he does not want to make their names public even when people call and congratulate him.
