Generally, the price of toothbrush starts from Rs 10-20 and goes up to a few thousand rupees for electric toothbrushes. But now such an electric toothbrush has come in the market, you may be surprised to hear its price. Tech company Dyson has introduced CameraJet electric toothbrush priced at around Rs 47 thousand.

This special toothbrush has an in-built camera, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and mouthwash jet. Its purpose is to identify and clean those spaces between the teeth while brushing, where a normal brush cannot easily reach. However, regarding its price and camera feature, people are also raising questions on social media that why was there a need for a camera in a toothbrush?

Camera takes 28 pictures every second

Dyson introduced the CameraJet in Paris on September 1 after nearly six years of research and development. According to the company, this device has been specially designed keeping in mind the problem of cleaning the gaps present between the teeth.

A 1,00,000-pixel macro camera is installed in the brush head of the toothbrush. This camera captures about 28 pictures every second. After this, the machine learning system identifies the empty spaces between the teeth with the help of these photographs.

Mouthwash jet comes out as soon as gap is found

As soon as the system detects a gap between the teeth, its Gap Optical Targeting System releases a small jet of mouthwash at that spot.

Dyson claims that this jet becomes active in just 100 milliseconds. That means, along with normal brushing, this device also focuses on cleaning between the teeth.

You can see live view of mouth through mobile app

The CameraJet can be connected to the MyDyson app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Through the app, users can see a live view of the inside of their mouth and also get guidance during brushing.

Apart from this, with the help of the map in the app, it can also be seen which parts of the mouth have been cleaned and which places need more attention.

According to the company, the camera is active only during live view or automatic jetting.

The company also gave clarification on the privacy to the camera

Due to the presence of a camera in the toothbrush, it is natural for questions to arise regarding privacy. Dyson says that images captured with the camera are not recorded or stored on the toothbrush or the cloud.

The company claims that this helps in protecting the privacy of the user.

Toothbrush will be available in two colors

Dyson CameraJet has been introduced in Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink colors. The company is also preparing a special type of low-foaming toothpaste and mouthwash for this.

According to Dyson, excessive foaming can interfere with the camera's visuals, so low-foaming products are being designed for use with it.

When will it come to India?

The price of Dyson CameraJet has been stated to be US$ 499.99, i.e. around Rs 47 thousand. However, at present no clear information has been revealed about when this toothbrush will be launched in India and what will be its Indian price.

Due to its price of around Rs 47 thousand and technology like camera-AI, this toothbrush currently appears to be a special kind of premium gadget. Now it remains to be seen how much people like this kind of high-tech technology for cleaning teeth.
