A seven-season association has finally come to an end, with Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli officially completing his €70million (£60m) transfer to Saudi Pro League heavyweights Al-Hilal.
The 25-year-old Brazil international winger, who helped Mikel Arteta's Gunners bring an end to their Premier League title drought last season, also becomes the club's record sale, surpassing the £35m transfer of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2017.
Martinelli, who played an important part in Arsenal's strong group-stage campaign in last season's Champions League, had attracted interest during the summer transfer window as the club looked to raise both the quality and depth of their options on the left flank. Galatasaray were also interested in signing him.
Arsenal completed a move for talented Greek wideman Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, and were also interested in both Morgan Rodgers and Vinicius Junior, while fan favourite Leandro Trossard was sold to Besiktas and Gabriel Jesus joined Barcelona.
Martinelli is the third Premier League player signed by Al-Hilal this summer, following the arrivals of Ollie Watkins and Crysencio Summerville at Kingdom Arena.
The Arsenal cult hero now appears ready to begin the next phase of his career in earnest, having taken the number seven shirt and joined tonight's training session ahead of Al-Hilal's Saudi Pro League match against Al-Shabab on Friday evening.
