New Delhi. Big news has come out regarding DA Hike of July 2026 for central employees and pensioners. After the release of the final figures of AICPI-IW for June, the possibility of a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance based on the current calculation has become stronger. However, the final decision will be taken only after the approval of the Central Government and the Cabinet.

DA may increase from 60 to 63 percent

If the government approves the 3 percent hike, then dearness allowance of central employees will increase from 60 percent to 63 percent. This will directly increase the monthly salary of the employees. Pensioners are also expected to get its benefits.

Arrears will be received from July

Even if the DA increase is decided later, its benefits will be considered effective from July 1, 2026. In such a situation, the employees and pensioners may get the dues for the period from July till the announcement in the form of arrears. That is, after the announcement, there will be hope of getting the dues of the previous period along with the increased DA.

Awaiting cabinet approval

At present, the 3 percent increase is calculated based on government data and the existing formula. To finalize it, the process of the Finance Ministry and the approval of the Union Cabinet will be necessary. On the other hand, the employees are also keeping an eye on the 8th Pay Commission, where discussions are going on on demands like increasing the fitment factor and minimum wage.
