An important initiative has been taken towards setting up six dialysis units at RNB Civil Hospital, Kokrajhar.
In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bongaigaon Refinery and Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in a program organized late on Wednesday evening at Manas Guest House in BGR Township.
This project will be implemented under the Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) initiative of IOCL, Bongaigaon Refinery. Project endorser and Kokrajhar District Commissioner Pankaj Chakraborty, ACS were present on the occasion.
The MoU was signed by Pranajit Vari, ACS, Additional Principal Secretary, BTC and Musukha Bodo, General Manager (HR), IOCLI Bongaigaon Refinery.
Nayan Kumar Baruwa, Executive Director and Refinery Head, IOCL, Bongaigaon Refinery, Dr. Neelu Kumar Brahm, Director-cum-CHD, Health and Family Welfare Department, BTC and many senior officials of IOCL and Health Department were present in the ceremony.
The establishment of six dialysis units in RNB Civil Hospital will help in providing essential medical services like dialysis locally to the patients of Kokrajhar and surrounding areas.
This initiative is expected to strengthen the health infrastructure of the region as well as improve treatment facilities and access for kidney patients.
