The former Everton man and current Tottenham Hotspur forward recently said no to a move back to Goodison Park, and he is now poised to link up with Liverpool royalty instead.

Richarlison has reportedly struck an agreement with an interested club and is now trying to force an exit from Tottenham Hotspur, only days after rejecting an approach from his former side Everton.

The Spurs forward scored 11 Premier League goals last season as the North London side battled all the way to avoid relegation on the final day.

Across all competitions, he registered 12 goals and five assists in 42 appearances, and he has now turned his attention towards the Super Lig in a transfer that would see him team up with Liverpool royalty.

According to Turkish transfer specialist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Richarlison has given a verbal yes to an offer from Trabzonspor and is now putting pressure on Tottenham Hotspur to let him leave.

That update came only hours after it was revealed that Trabzonspor had submitted an offer to the North London club for the Brazil international, with Sabuncuoglu also reporting that development.

Richarlison publicly dismissed talk of a return to Everton, who also missed out on signing USMNT striker Folarin Balogun before yesterday's deadline, making it clear that he remains in control of his own future and that “never again will anyone decide my future for me.”

“If they reach an agreement between Spurs and Everton, I will return to my beloved club,” he continued. “My intention was to go back to the place where I was very happy, yes.

“But the negotiations happened only in the way certain people wanted, and it will no longer be like that. I am under contract at Spurs and will remain at the club’s disposal,” the Brazilian concluded.

Trabzonspor expert Hasan Tuncel also backed the suggestion that Richarlison is close to a switch to Turkey, writing that “serious efforts are being made to get him out of Tottenham” shortly after Sabuncuoglu’s exclusive emerged.

The Super Lig club have attracted attention in recent months after bringing in Liverpool legend Salah, who has scored three goals in three domestic matches for Trabzonspor this season.

The Turkish top-flight outfit have also paired the Egyptian star with Richarlison’s fellow Brazilian and Salah’s former Liverpool team-mate Fabinho, with both players starting against Amed on Monday evening and combining for the opening goal of the game.

Trabzonspor have been prioritising another forward since the Egyptian arrived, with speculation suggesting Darwin Nunez could also reunite with Salah, but that transfer did not happen.

It had been suggested that Trabzonspor could move for free agent Wilfried Zaha to operate on the wing alongside the Egyptian, but it now appears Richarlison is the one set for an arrival at Papara Park, potentially to fill that role.

The Super Lig club’s current striker, Paul Onuachu — who scored 22 top-flight goals last season — has started the new campaign without finding the net, with supporters calling for more depth in that area.

Richarlison would also provide a natural alternative to Onuachu in the starting XI. Whether Spurs allow the Brazilian to depart remains to be seen, as the 29-year-old continues to push for the move.
