Apple CEO : The salary of Apple’s new CEO John Ternes is currently a topic of discussion in the tech world. According to the information released by the company, the targeted total compensation of Ternus for the financial year 2027 will be around $ 58 million i.e. approximately Rs 551 crore. It includes a base salary of $3 million and a target stock award of $55 million. The company has given this information in the report filed before the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Apple CEO: Shares worth more than salary

John Ternus’ package includes a $55 million equity award. 75 percent of this will be in the form of performance based restricted shares, while 25 percent will be given in the form of time based shares. The benefits of performance-based stocks will depend on the company’s stock performance and a comparison to the performance of other companies in the S&P 500. Additionally, he has also been granted a pro-rata share award valued at $2.5 million for his service period as CEO through fiscal 2026.

Tim Cook, Apple’s longtime CEO, has now moved into the role of executive chairman. His targeted compensation for this position will be around $47 million i.e. approximately Rs 446 crore. This includes an annual salary of $2 million and a target equity award of $45 million. John Ternes has taken over as CEO of Apple from September 1, 2026, while Tim Cook will remain associated with the company as executive chairman.
