Business Desk – Stock Market Today: A sharp decline is being seen in the stock market today i.e. on 2nd September. Sensex is trading at 76,400 level after falling more than 500 points. At the same time, there is a decline of about 200 points in Nifty and it is trading around 23,850. Heavy selling is seen in the shares of auto, IT, media and realty sectors in the market.
Today is the second day of Deepa Jewelers IPO. Investors will be able to bid in this issue till September 3. To invest in IPO, a minimum of Rs 14,868 will have to be invested. The company wants to raise about Rs 459.72 crore through IPO.

Pressure in Asian market also
Today most of the major Asian markets are witnessing a decline. Kospi has declined by 3.16%, Nikkei by 2.63% and Hangseng by 1.05%. The impact of weak global signals is also visible on the opening and trading of the Indian market.
American markets also closed with a decline
Earlier on September 1, there was a decline in American markets also. Dow Jones fell 419 points, or 0.79%, to close at 52,767. Nasdaq declined by 271 points or 1.03% and closed at 26,100. The S&P 500 also fell 55 points, or 0.71%, to close at 7,631.
DII invested Rs 14,750 crore in 7 days
Domestic institutional investors i.e. DII are continuously buying in the market. In the last 7 days, DII has bought shares worth Rs 14,750 crore. His purchases in the last 30 days have been Rs 56,697 crore. On the contrary, foreign investors i.e. FII/FPI are continuously selling. In the last 7 days he has withdrawn Rs 13,324 crore. The total selling by FII/FPI in the last 30 days has been Rs 8,454 crore.
Yesterday also the market closed with a slight decline
Earlier on September 1, the Sensex had fallen 13 points and closed at 76,944. Nifty also fell 25 points and closed at the level of 24,056. This means that after Tuesday's slight decline, the pressure in the market seems to be increasing on Wednesday.
